Back in october I've made an American Horror Story Hotel - Countess inspired photoshoot where I needed some blood and I really didn't wanted to spend a bunch of money on it or slay down the neighborhood and burry all those bodies in the freezing cold october...you know how it is going... so I wen't to the kitchen to do the magic!
The recipe is super easy and quick, and the total cost is not more and a few bucks:
What you need:
- a bowl (a big one because you will have to bend your mixture very intensly)
- sugar syrup (1 part water and 1 part sugar)
- food colors (red and green or blue for the realistic tint)
- white flour
Mix 1 cup of sugar syrup with a lot of red food color(I used almost a whole bottle), add a few spoon of flours and blend it until it's smooth. Add a few drops of blue or green food color to create a more realistic tint. Leave it rest for a few minutes - and you are done!
You have your eatable, realistic and super sticky fake blood! You can store the leftover in a jar and use it later.
Have fun

Warning: be careful with clothes and wigs because the food color can color them almost permanently if you don't wash it out in time!
